Data suggests that students in Years 10 to12 attending regional and rural schools in NSW do not achieve, on average, as highly as their peers in metropolitan areas in mathematics and science subjects. This project responds to this concern by creating networks of teachers in the two subjects areas within schools and clusters in the New England Region of NSW.
Teachers are supported within their own school groups to address an issue they identify as impeding student learning. The project represents collaboration between staff in the SiMERR National Centre, NSW Department of Education and Training (NE Region) and schools throughout the region.
This project is funded by an Australian School Innovation in Science, Technology and Mathematics grant
