{"id":1885,"date":"2020-03-09T14:55:44","date_gmt":"2020-03-09T03:55:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/simerr.une.edu.au\/quicksmart\/?p=1885"},"modified":"2025-12-10T15:21:08","modified_gmt":"2025-12-10T04:21:08","slug":"literacy-update-pat-vocabulary-tests","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/simerr.une.edu.au\/quicksmart\/2020\/03\/09\/literacy-update-pat-vocabulary-tests\/","title":{"rendered":"Literacy Update: PAT Vocabulary Tests"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>It has come to our attention that ACER have released a new\u00a0<strong>PAT Vocabulary Skills<\/strong>\u00a0test, which is currently in its public trial stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SiMERR has contacted ACER about the new\ntest, and we have been informed that norm tables have not been created for this\nnew test as of yet.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ACER has also\u00a0advised that the new \u2018Skills\u2019 test cannot be compared to the existing\u00a0<strong>PAT Vocabulary<\/strong>\u00a0test.\u00a0This means that SiMERR is unable to analyse this test in school reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As schools need to administer the same version of the PAT for both the pre- and post-tests, we would advise schools to purchase and use the standard \u2018PAT Vocabulary\u2019 test for their 2020 QuickSmart cohort.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have already used the new PAT\nVocabulary Skills test as your 2020 pre-test, please be advised that we cannot\nuse this data, so it should not be entered into the 2020 Data Upload tool when\nit is released in a few weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We will post an update about 2021 tests once we have more information.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It has come to our attention that ACER have released a new\u00a0PAT Vocabulary Skills\u00a0test, which is currently in its public trial stage.
