Renewing your QuickSmart QBSA/Digital Resources license for 2025

Please be advised that if your school’s QuickSmart Program Resources and Assessment (QBSA) license is due to expire on 31/12/2024 (or has already expired), you can renew it now by going to the Renewal Forms page on our website, filling out the form, and clicking ‘submit’.

The option to choose on the form is “QuickSmart Numeracy / Literacy Program Resources and Assessment (QBSA) Renewal”. The cost for a three-year renewal is $1950 (plus GST) and a one-year renewal is also available for $800 (plus GST).

You can check when your school’s license is due to expire through the following steps:

  1. Log in to your QuickSmart Portal account: https://qso.une.edu.au/
  2. Click on “Institution List” in the left-hand side menu
  3. In the “Actions” column on the far right, click on the blue “linked applications” icon.
  4. Click on the relevant application tab (Numeracy Program or Literacy Program)*
  5. The expiry date will be listed in the third column.

You will receive an email notification once your licence has been renewed. Your school will be sent an invoice a few weeks after that, however, please advise us in the comments section of the renewal form if you would prefer to be invoiced in 2024 or 2025.

*Please note that if you have both Numeracy and Literacy, there will be two separate application tabs. Both licences will share the same expiry date and both will be covered by same renewal form and cost.

A note about OZCAAS

OZCAAS has reached its end-of-life and will not be available after 2024. The current 2024 version will stop working at the end of March 2025. OZCAAS has been replaced by a fully-online equivalent called the QuickSmart Basic Skills Assessor (QBSA), which is built into the QuickSmart Portal.

To assist you in the transition to QBSA, we have put together some guidelines regarding your upcoming pre- and post-testing for both QuickSmart and Comparison students:

  • For Learners that were pre-tested with OZCAAS, and will complete the QuickSmart program by the end of March 2025, please post-test with OZCAAS when they have completed the program.
  • For Learners that were pre-tested with OZCAAS, but will NOT have completed the QuickSmart program by the end of March 2025, please post-test with QBSA when they have completed the program.
  • All Learners now beginning their QuickSmart Numeracy or Literacy journey should be using QBSA for their pre-tests, regular lessons, and post-tests.

Please note that a space-bar option for QBSA can be requested via an email to quicksmart@une.edu.au.

If you are still using OZCAAS and would like assistance with transitioning to QBSA, we are more than happy to offer support. I have attached a QBSA transition guide to this email, and there are video tutorials on using the QBSA in the Portal (Private Area > QBSA Information > Numeracy > QBSA Video Tutorials).

Please contact us via quicksmart@une.edu.au or 02 6773 5067 if you have any questions.
