The QuickSmart team are proud to announce the release of the new QuickSmart Basic Skills Assessor (QBSA) application for both Numeracy and Literacy.
QBSA is offered as an alternative tool for the assessment component of QuickSmart lessons in 2023 and will then fully replace the currently used OZCAAS application in 2024.
Schools with an active licence will be able to access QBSA directly from their QuickSmart Portal accounts by the end of January 2023, which means that assessments can be run on any device with the recommended Chrome web browser (Windows, Mac, iPads, etc).
QBSA will also be added as a two-month trial to schools whose licence expired at the end of 2022.
QBSA works in a similar way to OZCAAS, and trained instructors will find the transition a smooth one. However, there is a full user-guide for the new application located in the “User Guides” section of the Portal, as well as soon-to-be-released demonstration videos, which we strongly recommend all instructors read and view.
QBSA was trialled by over 30 schools in the latter half of 2022 and was received very positively. More features will be added to QBSA, so please also email the IT Team with any “wish list” items and they could be added to the application on a future date.
